What is included in live-in care?
Live-in care involves a Desire Care caregiver living in the same home as your loved one. They are there to assist with activities of daily living, and they are able to accompany your loved one to any appointments or social outings outside of the home as well. Some caregivers are able to drive if that is a need for your loved one. Please call us for an assessment to determine your needs and to create a care plan, and we would provide a caregiver that matches those needs and that is compatible to you.
Can I choose my Caregiver
Yes you can. We will work with you to determine the most compatible caregiver.
How many hours does live-in care cover?
Though live-in care is a 24 hour service, typically the caregiver is available for 16 hours, and unavailable for 8 hours of sleep. If you are interested in 24 hour around-the-clock care, multiple desired caregivers would need to cover an entire day and ensure that somebody is awake at all times.
Can live-in care be used in both short term and long term circumstances?
Yes! Desire Home Care is able to provide live-in caregivers for any length of time. We understand that there are times that a live-in caregiver is needed for only a few days as well as more permanent situations.

Does live-in care include overnight care?
Live-in care does include overnight care. The only difference between the two is that the caregiver is present in the home for 24 hours a day during live-in care while overnight care usually only involves a few hours before and after your loved one is sleeping.
